Poland's Airspace Breached Overnight, Donald Tusk Reports
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced that there was a breach of Poland's airspace overnight.
“An operation is underway related to multiple violations of Poland's airspace. Armed forces have deployed weaponry against these objects. I am in constant contact with the President and the Minister of Defense. I have received a direct report from the operational commander,” Tusk wrote on the X social media platform.
“I received a message from the operational commander of the armed forces regarding the destruction of unmanned aerial vehicles that invaded our airspace and could pose a threat. The operation is ongoing. I have informed the NATO Secretary-General about the situation and the actions taken against the objects that violated our airspace. We are in constant communication,” Tusk later added.
It is noted that Poland will convene an emergency security council.
