Israeli Prime Minister: Qatar Attack Justified Like US Military Campaign in Afghanistan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes that the attack on the Qatari capital, Doha, was as justified as the US military campaign in Afghanistan that began after the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001. This is stated in a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.

“What did America do after September 11? It promised to pursue the terrorists responsible for this despicable crime, wherever they were. And two weeks later, it advanced a resolution in the UN Security Council stating that governments cannot harbor terrorists,” Netanyahu said in a video of his remarks published by his office.

According to the Prime Minister, in striking Doha on September 9 with the goal of eliminating Hamas leadership, Israel acted with the same spirit as the United States did in 2001.
