Russian Forces Launch Night Attack on Kyiv: Government Building on Fire, Casualties Reported

Russian forces launched a mass attack on Kyiv during the night of September 7. A fire broke out in the government building due to a likely drone strike, reported Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Ukraine's capital, according to RBK-Ukraine.

“In the Pechersk region, a fire erupted in the government building due to a probable drone strike. Firefighters are working at the scene,” he said.

Klitschko also added that warehouses are burning again in the Svyatoshinsky region, where emergency services are also operating.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, on the night of September 7, Russian forces initiated a large-scale and combined attack on Ukraine, particularly targeting the capital.

During the night, Russian troops actively launched drones at Kyiv. As a result of the shelling, several high-rise residential buildings and vehicles were damaged, leading to fires.

Moreover, there are over a dozen injuries and fatalities due to the bombardment, including a one-year-old child among the deceased.

By morning, Russian troops had already fired cruise missiles at the capital. The background of this attack saw powerful explosions reverberating throughout the city.
