Azerbaijani Minister Calls the 'Zangezur Corridor' the 'Trump Route'

At the Azerbaijan-Turkey IV Energy Forum held in Izmir, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov highlighted the importance of the Syunik road for the energy cooperation between the two countries.

The minister referred to it as the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity,' stating that it would facilitate the transportation of both hydrocarbons and 'green energy' from the Caspian Sea and Central Asia through Nakhchivan to Turkey and international markets.

According to Shahbazov, this corridor will connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan and also provide a new boost to energy and transport communications with Turkey and Turkic states.

The minister emphasized the need to accelerate the establishment of electrical connections between Nakhchivan and Turkey.
