Trump Rejects India's Proposal

US President Donald Trump has stated that India offered to "zero out" tariffs on American goods. "So far, India has been charging us higher tariffs than any other country. Our businesses have been unable to sell in India. This has been a complete one-sided disaster. Now they have offered to zero out their tariffs, but it's too late. They should have done this years ago," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Earlier, it was reported that, according to Reuters, the import tariffs imposed by President Trump on India could end up costing far more within a year than the savings made by purchasing Russian oil at a discount during the entire course of the war in Ukraine.
