Pashinyan Responds to Aliyev, Clarifying It's Not 'Zangezur Corridor' but 'Trump's Road'
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit is taking place in China, where Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also participating. During the summit, Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed Aliyev, clarifying that it is not a 'Zangezur Corridor' but rather a 'Trump's Road.'
“In the declaration adopted by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, specific terminology has also been agreed upon, and I believe that the use of this terminology will contribute to a constructive atmosphere and the implementation of further work. I would like to inform my colleagues that the vocabulary used by the President of Azerbaijan is not perceived within the framework of the terminology we agreed upon in Washington, especially since within the scope of those agreements, Armenia and the USA will implement an investment program for communications called 'Trump's Road' for the sake of international peace and prosperity. This program stems from the Republic of Armenia's 'Peace Crossroad' project, regarding which Armenia and the USA have signed a bilateral memorandum to develop this project and to invest in it,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech at the SCO summit in the SCO+ format.
