White House to Cut Foreign Aid by Another $5 Billion
The White House is set to reduce foreign aid by an additional $5 billion, according to a report by the New York Post. The Trump administration plans to cancel a multibillion-dollar foreign aid package that has already been approved by Congress.
Out of the total amount, $3.2 billion was earmarked for USAID, while the remainder was designated for State Department programs. President Trump has criticized these expenditures as wasteful, highlighting examples such as $24.6 million for climate programs in Honduras, $2.7 million for a South African foundation that published racially inflammatory articles, $3.9 million for supporting LGBT individuals in the Western Balkans, and $1.5 million for advertising depicting Ukrainian women.
