Russia No Longer Wishes to Maintain Control Over Four Ukrainian Regions: Hakan Fidan
Russia no longer insists on full control over the four regions of Ukraine that have been partially occupied since the beginning of the war, declared Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
According to Fidan, Moscow now seeks to establish control only over the entire Donetsk region and intends to maintain positions along the contact line in Zaporizhzhia.
Fidan noted that such proposals have already been discussed during negotiations in Turkey, as well as during meetings between the presidents of the United States and Russia. He emphasized that Moscow's new terms could serve as a basis for ending the war, although accepting them will be challenging, especially for Ukraine.
