There Will Be No Palestinian State: Israeli Foreign Minister

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has stated that Palestine will not exist as a state following a meeting in Washington with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Reuters reports that in response to questions about plans for the creation of a Palestinian state, Sa'ar declared on August 27 that such a thing will not happen.

Palestine is recognized as a state by 147 countries, including Armenia and Russia. In 2024, the U.S. vetoed Palestine's full membership in the United Nations. French President Emmanuel Macron announced on July 24 that France will officially recognize Palestine as a state at the UN General Assembly in September.
