Nikol, the government is yours, but the state is not yours. Ashotyan
Nikol was partially honest today; the formulation "I am the government" is not only a sign of unchecked arrogance but also a diagnosis of the rampant overt authoritarianism in the country. This was stated by the Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, on his Facebook page.
“In general, his compulsion to lie is transforming. While previously he lied about the past, present, and future, for several weeks now, at least regarding the past, he is revealing almost all his cards (the message from August 23 is witness to that). However, his honesty is not complete amid such self-absorbed arrogance. It would be more honest to repeat not the words of Louis XIV (‘The state is me’), but rather those of Louis XV: ‘After me, the flood,’ because he refers to our people and the state based on that principle.
At the same time, the example of those French kings is altogether not suited for him, as they were enlightened rulers, while Nikol is a bearer of dark ignorance and absolutism.
As for the fantasy of ‘cutting off the political languages of Serzh Sargsyan and Kocharyan through the people's elections,’ on one hand, it is pleasant that this time he is trying to hide behind the Armenian people rather than the Azerbaijani. On the other hand, this ‘hope’ is very strange, as in real life, the same people express such fantasies about him that there are no similar videos even in the most corrupt site categories.
Nikol, the government is yours, but the state is not yours; it is ours, it is mine, it belongs to the Armenians,” he wrote.
