Germany Proposes Expanding Security Guarantees for Ukraine

The scope of security guarantees for Ukraine should be expanded, and these guarantees should be "very close to what membership means" in NATO. This was stated by Germany's Foreign Minister Johan Wadephul during a speech at an open doors event organized by the German government in Berlin, as reported by TASS.

The minister emphasized that the list of countries providing security guarantees to the Ukrainian state must extend beyond Europe, primarily to include the United States.

He also noted that about 30 countries, including Japan, have expressed their readiness to support Kyiv.
