A Highest Level of Emergency Response Declared in China Due to Typhoon
In Hainan Province, located in southern China, a Level 1 emergency response—the highest level—has been declared due to the approaching typhoon "Kanjiki." This information was reported by the Xinhua news agency.
In the southern city of Sanya on the island, the situation is critical as the storm is ripping off building exteriors and breaking tree branches. Classes have been canceled in schools, and various businesses are closed. Shopping centers are also shut, and local residents have bought out all the noodles from stores, according to RT.
Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from dangerous areas. Authorities are advising residents to stay indoors and not leave their homes or hotels. It has also been reported that monkeys have started coming to people seeking shelter.
