Extreme Heat Expected: Weather in Armenia

The weather in the Republic of Armenia is expected to remain dry from August 22 to 26. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

In the evening hours, a wind enhancement of 15-18 m/s is expected in Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn.

The air temperature is not expected to change significantly.

In Yerevan, too, dry weather is anticipated from August 22 to 26. Wind enhancement of 14-18 m/s is expected in the evening on August 21-22 and 25-26.

A high fire hazard situation is anticipated in Shirak, the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, as well as in the valleys of Syunik and in Yerevan.
