U.S. President Donald Trump has received an invitation to visit Russia, confirmed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. “He has an invitation, as you know. During a press conference in Alaska, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed this invitation, and Donald Trump, if I remember correctly, said that it is very interesting,” Lavrov stated in an interview with the Russia 24 television channel.
It is noteworthy that the presidents of Russia and the U.S. discussed ways to resolve the Ukrainian conflict during their meeting on August 15 in Alaska. Both leaders characterized the meeting positively. The Russian president announced the possibility of reaching an end to the conflict in Ukraine, emphasizing that Russia is interested in ensuring that the resolution takes on a long-term nature.
