EU Blackmailing Georgia Over Non-Involvement in War, Kobakhidze Says
The European Union has begun blackmailing Georgia after the latter refused to join the military conflict against Russia in 2022. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Irakli Kobakhidze.
Previously, he had repeatedly reported that EU countries and Ukrainian officials called on Georgia to open a 'second front' against Russia in 2022.
"In 2022, we refused to enter the war, and after that, absolute unprecedented blackmail began. First, without any basis, we were not granted candidate status for EU membership, although it was repeatedly stated afterward that Georgia is a leader among all candidate countries," the Prime Minister told reporters.
