Restrictions on Visits to Archbishop Mikayel Partially Lifted
The second court hearing in the case of Mikayel Archbishop Ajapakhyan, the head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, is underway at the Avan residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. Judge Armine Meliksetyan, presiding over the session, granted a motion presented by the Archbishop's defense, thereby partially lifting the restrictions on visits for Archbishop Mikayel Ajapakhyan.
During the period of detention, visits to the Archbishop are now permitted, with the exception of representatives of the media. It is worth noting that the high-ranking cleric of the Armenian Apostolic Church has been charged with making public calls aimed at seizing power.
