Melania Trump's Letter to Putin Published by Fox News

American Fox News has published a copy of a letter from the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin through her husband, President Donald Trump. In the message, Melania Trump calls on the Russian president to "protect children" and to overcome the divisions among nations.

The Russian president read it aloud in the presence of American and Russian delegations. In the text of the letter, the First Lady emphasizes that every child, regardless of their country of origin or social status, "has the same dreams of love, opportunity, and protection from danger."

"As parents, we have a responsibility to nurture the hopes of the next generation. As leaders, we have a responsibility to support our children not just in our immediate circles, but in a much broader sense. Surely, we should strive to create a world filled with dignity for everyone, so that every person can awaken in peace, and the future is securely protected. A simple yet profound thought, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you will agree: every generation begins life in purity, with an innocence that transcends geography, power, or ideology.

Yet, in today’s world, some children must carry a silent laughter that does not touch the surrounding darkness—a silent resistance to the forces that may take away their future. Mr. Putin, only you can return their joyful laughter. By protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than just serve Russia; you will serve all of humanity. Such a bold idea transcends all human divides, and you, Mr. Putin, can make this vision a reality today with one signature. The time has come," the letter states.

It should be noted that the text of the letter does not mention Ukraine, the war against Ukraine by Russia, or the alleged abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia. The letter was written on the eve of the meeting between Trump and Putin in Anchorage.

Ukraine asserts that Russia is offering forced adoption of forcibly displaced Ukrainian minors online.
