The Entire Scenario Has Been Presented to the Court in a Prepared State, Says Michael's Defender
There is an evident political pressure, and the entire scenario has been brought to the court in a prepared state. This is a low-grade urgency, and Judge Armine Meliksetyan acted as an unjust court. This was stated by one of the defenders, Marine Faramanyan, in a conversation with reporters after today's court session regarding Michael's case, commenting on the judge's decision to schedule court sessions back to back.
Another defender, Yerem Sargsyan, said that law enforcement is fulfilling a political order: "Nikol Pashinyan writes a note about Michael, and on the same day the Prosecutor General's Office initiates an investigation."
Earlier, we reported that the court session in the case of the Shirak Diocese leader Michael was postponed today. It is worth recalling that a criminal case has been initiated against him for publicly calling to seize power, violate territorial integrity, abandon sovereignty, or violently overthrow the constitutional order.
