Putin and Trump Talks May Last 6-7 Hours, Peskov Says

The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, admitted in a commentary to Russia's "First Channel" that the upcoming summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska would last a total of approximately 6-7 hours due to the large number of planned events.

Peskov stated that Moscow anticipates the leaders will first engage in a private conversation. "At this moment, it seems that assistants will also participate in that discussion," he added.

"There will then be negotiations within the framework of delegations, possibly in the format of a working lunch. Afterwards, the leaders will part ways for some time before gathering for a joint press conference," noted the Kremlin spokesperson.

The meeting between the Presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, will take place today at the Elmendorf-Richardson joint base of the U.S. Air Force and Army in Anchorage, Alaska. According to Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, the leaders will focus on discussions regarding the Ukrainian settlement. He added that Putin and Trump would also address bilateral cooperation in the economic sector.
