Putin and Trump May Discuss the 'Trump Route' Issue
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and the leader of the United States, Donald Trump, may discuss the issue of controlling transportation routes between Armenia and Azerbaijan during a meeting in Alaska. This opinion was expressed to TASS by Viktor Vodolatskin, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma's committee on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration, and relations with compatriots.
Recall that on August 8, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15. The plans for these negotiations were later confirmed by Putin's assistant, Yuri Ushakov. According to him, the leaders will focus on discussing options for the long-term peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
