Finalize the Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreement as Soon as Possible: EU Observation Mission

The EU observation mission in Armenia will continue its operations, and potential amendments to its mandate will be discussed by Yerevan and Brussels. This was announced by EU spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy, Anita Hipper.

The mission has the authority to monitor and report on the situation on the Armenian side of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

“The European Union has welcomed the initial signing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and has called on both sides to sign and ratify it as soon as possible,” Hipper stated.
