No Document Signing Expected from Putin-Trump Meeting: Peskov

All necessary preparations have been made for the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, with all parameters in place. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.

“President Putin and President Trump are ready to talk, and they will discuss the most complex issues,” he told reporters.

Issues related to the Ukrainian settlement will be discussed at the Russia-U.S. summit. According to the Kremlin representative, it would be a mistake to jump ahead and predict the outcomes of the Russian-American summit; the parties will outline the framework of agreements and mutual understandings they can achieve.

He added that the current discussions pertain to a high-level Russian-American meeting, with questions regarding Ukraine's stance being connected to future phases.

No document signing is expected as a result of the meeting between Putin and Trump in Alaska.

The Presidents of the U.S. and Russia will meet on August 15 at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Alaska. Negotiations will begin at 23:30 Yerevan time.
