Minimum Threshold of Justification Not Overcome: Aram Vardevanyan

The hearing regarding Samvel Karapetyan's detention appeal has begun, with the investigator presenting the motion. Aram Vardevanyan, one of Karapetyan's defenders, made this statement to reporters earlier.

“An evidently unfounded motion has been submitted, one that has not even come close to overcoming the minimum threshold of justification. This motion is titled regarding Samvel Karapetyan, however, there is absolutely no relation to Samvel Karapetyan. It could have been anyone’s name,” the defense attorney stated.

The court session has been temporarily adjourned and will continue shortly.

It is noteworthy that the National Anti-Corruption Court is examining the petition to extend the detention of businessman Samvel Karapetyan. Supporters of Samvel Karapetyan have gathered in the yard of the courthouse.
