Zelensky Accuses Putin of Lying About Situation on the Front Lines

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed during a press conference following negotiations with European leaders that Ukraine has five principles that, in his opinion, should contribute to the resolution of the conflict.
Zelensky emphasized that negotiations concerning Ukraine cannot take place without Ukraine being involved as a third party. He also stated that discussions should occur under the pressure of sanctions.
“Russia’s opinion regarding Ukraine’s NATO and EU membership should not be taken into account,” said Zelensky. He also accused Putin of lying about the situation on the front lines and expressed opposition to the withdrawal of the Ukrainian armed forces from Donetsk region.
