Sergey Lavrov to Attend Putin-Trump Meeting
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will travel to Alaska to participate in the upcoming Russia-U.S. summit scheduled for August 15. “Yes, I can confirm Lavrov's participation in this event, which is planned to take place next Friday in Alaska,” said Alexey Fadeev, the Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a briefing.
Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will hold talks at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force and Army base in Anchorage, Alaska, CNN reported, citing sources. The Russian side has indicated that the main topic of the negotiations will be the conflict in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that on August 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet in Alaska for negotiations.
