Triumphant Russia Represents Direct Threat to Poland, Says Tusk

European allies of Kyiv will prepare a coordinated stance on the conditions for resolving the Ukraine-Russia conflict by August 15, ahead of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

“We will all work together in the coming hours to prepare a common European position on Ukrainian resolution,” he said prior to a government meeting.

Tusk added that Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski has prepared a draft of the government’s position regarding the US-Russia negotiations context for today’s meeting.

The position from Warsaw is clear: Trump must not be allowed to make concessions to Russia, Tusk explained. According to him, a strong and triumphant Russia poses an immediate threat to Poland.
