Russia and Belarus to Hold Joint Military Exercises
The joint Russian-Belarusian exercises, titled "Zapad-2025," are set to take place from September 12 to 16, as reported by the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
The overall objective of the exercises will be to assess the capabilities of Belarus and the Russian Federation in ensuring the military security of the Union State and repelling potential aggression, according to the ministry.
“Belarus pursues a peaceful policy and implements a number of measures aimed at ensuring the military security of the state,” stated Valery Revenko, head of the Belarusian International Military Cooperation Department.
“The 2025 exercises will be conducted on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” reminded a representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.
The exercises will be led by the General Staff of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
