Iran Has Never Welcomed Presence of Foreign Forces in Neighboring Countries, Mohajerani

Information about the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" is being presented in a distorted manner in some Iranian media and social networks, interpreted as Iran losing its northern borders. This was stated today by the Iranian government's spokesperson, Fatima Mohajerani, during a press conference in Tehran.

According to her, the widely discussed issue of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" concerns only a small part of Iran's northern territory. She emphasized that Iran pays great attention to restoring stability in the region, preserving the territorial integrity of states, and protecting their sovereignty.

Mohajerani added that Iran has never welcomed the presence of foreign forces in neighboring countries. The situation remains under constant control, and she noted that the best solution is for regional forces to ensure stability.

Moreover, Mohajerani stressed that maintaining the territorial integrity of countries is a principled position for Iran. She pointed out that Iran does not welcome the presence of foreign troops in neighboring countries and believes that the region must independently ensure its peace.
