Armenia Participates in CIS Interior Ministers Meeting; Azerbaijan Boycotts

The meeting of the Council of Interior Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Saint Petersburg, chaired by the head of the Russian Ministry, Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

Armenia was represented at the meeting at the level of the Chief of Police, with Chief of Police Aram Ghazaryan in attendance. Azerbaijan, however, did not participate in the meeting of the CIS Interior Ministers Council.

During the meeting, topics discussed included joint efforts to combat crime, cooperation among law enforcement agencies, issues of illegal migration, the use of information and communication technologies, and other related matters.
