Trump and Nawrocik to Discuss US Troop Deployment in Poland

It has been revealed what the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Poland's new President Karol Nawrocik will focus on. During their meeting on September 3, they will discuss the Ukrainian crisis as well as security issues, particularly the deployment of American troops in Poland. This was announced to the PAP agency by the press secretary of the Polish president, Rafal Leskiewicz.

"This is extremely important, as on one hand we are the eastern flank of NATO, and on the other hand, we are a significant economic and political partner for Ukraine as a whole," he emphasized. According to Leskiewicz, among other issues, the security matters to be discussed at the meeting will also include the presence of American soldiers in Poland.

It should be recalled that on August 9, the head of the Polish president's office, Pawel Szefernak, announced that a formal invitation had been extended to Poland's new President Karol Nawrocik to visit the White House.
