There is No Corridor Issue - It’s a Transit Road that Will Be Built Under Armenia’s Sovereignty, Says Araqchi

“The joint statement of Armenia and Azerbaijan includes three principles: respect for the sovereignty of the countries in the region, respect for territorial integrity, and opposition to any changes in borders. These fully align with Iran’s positions,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, referring to the agreements signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He added that the issue of the corridor has been entirely set aside, and the discussion revolves around a transit road that will be constructed under Armenia’s sovereignty and jurisdiction, within the territory of this country. The implementation of this project is entrusted to an American-Armenian company that is registered in Armenia and operates under the laws of the Republic of Armenia.
