Pope Francis has welcomed the agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington. This was reported by Vatican News.
The Pope expressed hope that the agreement will contribute to peace in the Caucasus. “I congratulate Armenia and Azerbaijan on the signing of the joint peace agreement. I hope that this event can promote stable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus,” he said.
