Pashinyan to Have Phone Conversation with Tokayev, Discuss Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations Process

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is set to have a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, during which they will discuss the Armenian-Azerbaijani process and the potential mediation role of Astana.

Earlier, Tokayev stated in a conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that Kazakhstan is ready to continue providing a platform for negotiations between Yerevan and Baku. He also congratulated Aliyev on the signing of an agreement with Armenia.

The press secretary of Tokayev clarified that the conversation with the Armenian Prime Minister is scheduled for tomorrow, August 11.

It is noteworthy that on August 8, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration in Washington consisting of 7 points.
