Jordan to Hold Talks on Syria Reconstruction with US and Damascus
Jordan will hold talks regarding the reconstruction of Syria with the United States and Damascus. On August 12, Jordan will meet with officials from the US and Syria to discuss support for the country's reconstruction following the devastating civil war.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the event will feature Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad and US Ambassador to Syria Thomas Barrack.
On Wednesday, Damascus signed 12 contracts worth $14 billion, including a $4 billion agreement with Qatar's UCC Holding to construct a new airport, and a $2 billion deal with the Abu Dhabi National Investment Company to build a metro system in the Syrian capital.
