Washington Won't Recognize Palestinian State: U.S. Vice President
Washington is not prepared to recognize a Palestinian state. This was stated by U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance.
According to Vance, the decision on recognition remains with London, but the U.S. position remains unchanged.
He also expressed doubts about the existence of a viable government in Palestinian territories, which, in his opinion, complicates the possibility of recognition.
“I don’t know what the actual recognition of a Palestinian state would mean, given the absence of a viable government there,” he remarked.
