Israeli Soldiers Discover Rocket Positions in Cemetery After Explosion in Gaza
The Israeli Defense Forces have discovered and detonated a kilometer-long tunnel belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. According to military officials, the underground structure was destroyed by combat engineers during recent operations in the Daraj and Tuffah areas. This was reported by the Israeli English-language online newspaper, The Times of Israel. The publication also released footage of the underground shelter being blown up.
The Israeli Defense Forces also claim that soldiers have found Hamas rocket positions in a cemetery in the area. "We saw Hamas looting and shooting at civilians seeking help," said a commander of the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza. He stated that Hamas is looting humanitarian aid and firing at citizens who attempted to access it, adding that “the enemy is hiding among the civilian population” and is using it as a shield.
