U.S. President Donald Trump has sent his special envoy Stephen Whitcoff to Russia to comply with the deadline set for resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This is reported by Bloomberg.
According to journalists, the U.S. President is pressing his special envoy to urge Russia to cease military operations in Ukraine by August 8, after which Trump has promised to impose anti-Russian sanctions.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy arrived in the Russian capital on the morning of August 6. According to Reuters, Whitcoff has traveled to Moscow to meet with representatives of the Russian leadership.
