Melikbekyan on Melikyan's Appointment as Head Coach

The President of the Football Federation of Armenia, Armen Melikbekyan, discussed the appointment of Yeghishe Melikyan as the head coach of the national team in an interview with the FFA's press service.

“The Football Federation of Armenia has decided to change the direction of the national team’s development. We are grateful to John van 't Schip for his work. Now, we entrust the team to a local expert who knows Armenian football very well from the inside, having traveled a long journey from being a player in the national team to a coach who recently achieved back-to-back championships in Armenian club football,” Melikbekyan stated.

“We are confident that through the collaboration of the FFA staff and Yeghishe Melikyan, along with daily hard work, the Armenian national team will be able to achieve good results. I believe that through unity and cohesion, we can take a step forward,” he added.
