France Faces Largest Forest Fire in 20 Years
A massive forest fire is raging in southern France, marking the largest such incident in the last two decades. The fire has engulfed an area of 15,000 hectares. One person has died, and nine others have been injured.
The Association for the Prevention and Coverage of Forest Fires notes that the emergence of a 'pyrocumulonimbus' cloud indicates a loss of control over the situation.
