Azerbaijani MP: 'Grandma-Grandpa' Monument Should Be Dismantled

Azerbaijani MP Hasanoglu has stated that the 'We Are Our Mountains' (Grandma-Grandpa) monument, along with any monuments constructed in Artsakh since 1988, should be dismantled.

“Any monument built by the ‘Armenian separatists’ since 1988 should be dismantled. Such monuments essentially bleed once again over the wounds caused by separatism over the years and remind us of the pains of war,” said the MP.

According to him, the occupied Stepanakert should be declared at least the country’s second capital, a modern office for the President of Azerbaijan should be built there, and the head of state should receive guests there during the summer months.
