Germany Prepares Major Military Order: Bloomberg
Germany is preparing a major military order for 8,500 units of armored vehicles, according to Bloomberg.
Sources from the German Ministry of Defense indicate that by the end of the year, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius will present a comprehensive plan for purchases amounting to €22 billion. The list includes 20 Eurofighter jets, 5,000 Boxer armored vehicles, and 3,500 Patria Oyj.
There are also discussions regarding the procurement of Leopard 2 tanks and new types of drones. This procurement will be a key phase in the transformation of the Bundeswehr, referred to as 'Europe's most powerful conventional army.' In this regard, Germany plans to increase its defense budget to €162 billion by 2029.
