Russia Strikes Ukrainian Prison, Multiple Casualties Reported
On the night of July 29, the Russian military launched a series of strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Ivan Fyodorov, head of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of the aerial bombs hit a correctional colony, resulting in at least 16 fatalities and 35 injuries.
He noted that a total of 8 bombardments were recorded, damaging buildings and impacting private homes. Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President's Office, condemned the attack on the prison as a 'further military crime by the Russians.'
