Russian Soldier Fined and Imprisoned for Defeatist Conversations
A military court has fined a Russian soldier 2.5 million rubles for making positive remarks about the Ukrainian army and negative assessments of the operations of the Russian Armed Forces. This is reported by the "Kommersant" newspaper.
According to reports, Seferbeg Hajiyev engaged in defeatist discussions with his fellow soldiers in the fall of 2024. During conversations with his subordinates, Hajiyev reportedly provided them with misleading information about the actual progression of his assignments, as well as exaggerating the successes of the enemy in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Furthermore, according to the documents, he negatively assessed the actions of the Russian Armed Forces, stating his awareness of the real state of the Russian military. After admitting guilt, Hajiyev was sentenced to 5.5 years in a general regime prison. He has also been stripped of his military rank and barred from holding positions in government bodies for three years.
