Appeals Filed Against Decision Regarding Mher Yenokyan by Representatives of Victims' Heirs

The decision to conditionally release Mher Yenokyan, a life-sentence convict who has spent 29 years in prison, has been appealed against by both the Prosecutor General's Office and the representatives of the victims' heirs. This information was reported by Tert.

Mher Yenokyan was conditionally released on July 23. He was freed from the courtroom and placed on a 10-year probationary period.

The appellate court is set to announce its ruling on August 8. The case will be reviewed in written form, and the decision will be clarified in the first ten days of August.

It is worth noting that Mher Yenokyan was charged with the murder of his classmate, Yosif Aghajanyan. He was sentenced to death on November 29, 1996, a sentence that was later commuted to life imprisonment.
