Kitrich Nersisyan Must Release the Cathedral. Prepare for the Great Spiritual Meeting, Pashinyan

It is undesirable, painful, but logical when couples, unable to keep their marital vows, resort to divorce. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.

“The same must happen in the case of the Church. Kitrich Nersisyan must release the Cathedral. The Cathedral is sacred!” Pashinyan wrote. “P.S. Live in prayer, fasting, abstaining, and prepare for the Great Spiritual Meeting at the central square of Ejmiadzin.”

Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan had noted, “According to the teachings of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a celibate priest marries the Church and has no right to engage in any other personal relationships. Kitrich Nersisyan, who has betrayed the covenant of marriage with the Church, has yet to release the Cathedral, thus desecrating our holiest of sanctities—the Mother See.”
