On the same day, just hours after the report was received, a 41-year-old resident of Armavir region was located and arrested on reasonable suspicion of vandalism. He has been transferred to a detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.

It is noteworthy that Gegham Asatryan, spokesperson for “Yerevan Bus” LLC, stated that the incident occurred on July 15, around 19:30, on the vehicle servicing route number 5 at the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Pushkin Street. Two young men were reportedly behaving inappropriately towards female passengers. Upon noticing conversations occurring on the bus and understanding the nature of the complaints from the female passengers, the driver approached the young men without continuing the journey and urged them to disembark. Following this, the young men assaulted the driver, while other passengers intervened to defend the driver and the women, also urging the two to leave the bus. Ultimately, the driver disembarked the two individuals, allowing the bus to continue its route.
