Record-Breaking Black Hole Merger in History

Scientists have recorded the largest black hole merger in history. This was reported on the EurekAlert portal.

The merger was discovered using gravitational wave detectors from the American observatories in Hanford and Livingston. The black holes, which have masses exceeding 100 and 140 times that of the Sun, collided to form an even larger black hole.
