Trump Claims Musk Warned Him About Their Diverging Views on Electric Vehicles

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he initially warned American entrepreneur Elon Musk that their positions on electric vehicles differ, and that this could hinder their collaboration. His remarks are quoted by TASS, referencing an interview with Fox News.

According to the White House leader, the spending bill includes several positive provisions. For example, it is beneficial from an energy perspective. He canceled the electric vehicle mandate, which he mentioned had negatively impacted Musk. “This is really bad, but I informed him about it much earlier than he would support me. I told him, 'You will never be with me because I will cancel the mandate,'” Trump said.

The American leader clarified that the legislation stated that everyone would have electric vehicles in a few years. The U.S. President disagreed with this notion, asserting that not everyone wants to purchase such a vehicle. Ultimately, Trump noted that everything ended with Musk being quite upset about the signing of this law.
