US Decision is Business: Money Remains Unchanged When Shifting Expenses, Says Peskov
The US decision to sell weapons to NATO countries for further transfer to Ukraine is business for Washington. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
"This is business. The money doesn’t change when shifting expenses. Regardless, they are equipping Ukraine with weapons," he said.
Peskov noted that a constructive dialogue with Russia and consideration of its concerns could serve as an alternative to European taxpayers' expenditures; however, this option is not being discussed in European countries.
"Another option could have been not to provide so much funding from European taxpayers' pockets. For this, one only has to consider Russia's concerns and start a dialogue based on mutual respect and the willingness to consider each other's interests. Logic and reason dictate that this path should take precedence. But we see that it is not in demand now and is not even being discussed," Peskov added.
He also stated that Europe is trying to push Kyiv to continue the war at all costs.
