Moscow Tries to Divert Attention from Ukraine War

Moscow is trying to divert attention from the war in Ukraine by pressuring the U.S. to cease efforts to resolve the conflict. This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

During a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, the focus was placed on issues unrelated to the war such as the economy, humanitarian cooperation, and diplomacy. Russia has announced progress in its relations with the U.S., claiming that it is necessary to ease vigilance and implement diplomatic measures aimed at halting the war.
